Adult Classes

Join our dynamic community of adult students passionate about learning the amazing art of Irish dance.  Technique, fitness and fun are cultivated in an inclusive, growth-focused space. The award-winning District Irish Dance Adult program consists of happy hours, friendly faces & fancy steps.  All are welcome and registration is open all year-round!

All classes are held at our Tenleytown, NW DC studio. Please contact us if you have any questions about the best level for you.

District Adults - All Levels (Saturday Class 2025-26)

SATURDAYS 1:45 PM
Our All Levels - Saturday class offers a great way to learn the fundamentals of Irish dance technique and improve fitness in a friendly, recreationally-focused setting. Both soft and hard shoe (traditional / fast speed) are taught in this class, in addition to Ceili and trad sets!

THURSDAYS 8:00 PM
Geared for advanced adults with prior knowledge of Irish dance who would like to be challenged to learn steps in a fast paced format, this class will support competitive pursuits while promoting a fun environment for adult students, with a focus on solo steps.

Adult Performance (2025-26)

MONDAYS 6:45 PM
Adult Performance is our show-focused class designed especially for adults. The class will teach fun and challenging choreography in an encouraging, non-competitive setting. Ceili / team dances are also taught in this class. In this weekly "add-on" class we will be partnering with Milwaukee Irish Dance Co. (the adult dance company established by Elyse Transon, TCRG) to explore innovative choreography for special performance opportunities.
