Adult Beginner I & II Irish Dance 6-Week Session (Spring 2024)

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Learn the basics of Irish hard and soft shoe styles and discover your rhythm at District Irish Dance! Led by our expert instructor team, this 6-week course for new adult beginners is the perfect way to gain knowledge of this incredible dance form! Limited spots available, held in-person at the DIDA studio in NW DC. Offered for brand new adult/teen students. Note: we cannot pro-rate for missed classes, but make-ups may be permitted per teacher discretion. Course graduates are invited to register for All Levels Adults (weekly class on Wednesdays), space permitting.
DISTRICT ADULTS ALL LEVELS
Wednesdays, 7:30pm
60-minute weekly class. Cost: See Registration Page (10-month Academy Year payment plan)
Prior experience not required, but new students should contact us.
One of our most popular weeekly adult classes, District Adults All Levels offers a great way to learn the fundamentals of Irish dance technique and improve fitness in a friendly, recreationally-focused setting. Both soft and hard shoe (traditional / fast speed) are taught in this class, in addition to Ceili and trad sets!
DISTRICT ADULTS ADVANCED
Thursdays, 8pm
60-minute weekly class. Cost: See Registration Page (10-month Academy Year payment plan)
Prior experience required. New students should contact us.
Geared for intermediate / advanced & up adults with prior knowledge of Irish dance who would like to be challenged to learn steps in a fast paced format, this class will support competitive pursuits while promoting a fun environment for adult students.

DISTRICT ADULTS ADVANCED (EXTENDED)
Mondays, 7:30pm
90-minute weekly class. Cost: See Registration Page (10-month Academy Year payment plan)
Prerequisite: PW/Prelim/Champ & up recommended.
Geared for adults with prior knowledge of Irish dance (PW/Prelim & up) who would like to learn steps in a challenging and fast paced format, our Advanced Adults - Extended Monday class will support competitive pursuits while promoting a fun environment for adult students, including dedicated time for learning group ceili dances.
