FIRST EVER HOLIDAY BREAK DAY CAMP: Open to new and current dancers ages 5+! Holiday themed class, crafts and fun all while you get a few hours to yourself (perfect for that last minute shopping!)

Shamrock Beginner II builds on Shamrock I and is open to dancers with 1+ year experience, age 7 & up. (Dancers without prior experience are eligible with teacher discretion) Each class continues to emphasize the fundamentals (focus on the FUN!) of Irish dance, using games and skill-building activities while adhering to our three tenets of technique, teamwork, and tradition. Dancers will continue refining their soft shoe skills and will have the opportunity to begin learning hard shoe fundamentals. Prerequisite: Shamrock Beginner I Level, 1+ year experience Shoes Required: Soft Shoes and Hard Shoes (Dancers should have hard shoes no later than October 1) Material Covered: All Shamrock I steps + Basic Slip Jig, Hard Shoe Basics ⭐️ All Shamrock II dancers have the opportunity to perform in the Spring Showcase and participate in the Class Feis!

Our most advanced class - Champ Program is for experienced dancers who are seeking to fine tune their high degree of skill!  Champion Program is for our most advanced students who have demonstrated the highest level of proficiency in and dedication to Irish dance. Each class will challenge dancers artistically and athletically;  competitive pursuits are accommodated but performance opportunities are also encouraged. Dancers in this program will be guided by our expert team to refine their skills, challenge their fitness, and enjoy their dance journey. DISTRICT TROUPE ADD-ON: Champion Program dancers may add-on District Troupe Class, held right before this class on Tues / Thurs, in order to learn show choreography & performance skills, with special opportunities to perform throughout the year! MULTI-CLASS SAVINGS: Champion Dancers are invited to upgrade to STUDIO PASS YOUTH - GOLD 🥇 - a program bundle providing significant savings as opposed to purchasing classes a la carte - includes District Troupe, all Drop-In classes as well as other exclusive perks plus complimentary private studio rentals for practice time! PREREQUISITE: Preliminary, Open Champion and Adult Masters Level. Instructor approval required.

Shamrock Beginner I invites brand new dancers into the vibrant and joyful world of Irish dance! This class is all about building fundamentals - with an emphasis on fun - through engaging curriculum, creative movement, and skill-building activities. Rooted in our three guiding principles of technique, teamwork, and tradition, our team aims to boost dancers confidence through energetic and motivating instruction. Prerequisite: No experience required. Shoes Required: Soft Shoes (Hard Shoes not required) Material Covered: Shamrock Reels + Jigs, Foundational Concepts and Moves including Foot Placement, Irish Dance Posture, Hop 123s, Pizza Jumps, Points and more! ⭐️ All Shamrock I dancers have the opportunity to perform in the Spring Showcase and participate in the Class Feis!

This class is for dancers who have completed at least two years of Irish dance at District Academy, have mastered basic soft shoe reels, light jigs and slip jigs, are working on fast-speed hard shoe dances (treble jig & hornpipe), and are ready to learn more challenging material! ⭐️ PERFORMANCE ADD-ON: Intermediate Level dancers are eligible to enroll in JUNIOR TROUPE, held right after their core class on Mondays, in order to learn performance skills and participate in special guest performance opportunities throughout the year! MULTI-CLASS SAVINGS: Looking to attend more than one class per week? Dancers in Intermediate are invited to upgrade to STUDIO PASS YOUTH - BRONZE 🥉 - a membership that provides significant savings as opposed to registering classes “a la carte” - includes Junior Troupe and all Drop-In classes, as well as other exclusive perks. Prerequisite: Shamrock I & II level; at least 2 years experience Shoes Required: Soft Shoes and Hard Shoes Material Covered: All Beginner soft shoe steps + hard shoe skills (traditional / fast speed TJ + Hornpipe steps) Competitive Level: Advanced Beginner / Novice (Optional)

Junior Troupe invites Intermediate level dancers to learn performance-style Irish dance choreography. This class focuses on building confidence, developing strong stage presence and cultivating teamwork. Our staff consists of highly talented professional dancers, including those who have performed on Broadway with Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance and in Riverdance. The DIDA teaching team brings that Broadway energy to the studio floor in every class! Junior Troupe dancers will enjoy special opportunities to perform in the community throughout the year, including the busy St. Patrick's Day season! Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in Intermediate Level. Included with Youth Bronze Studio Pass.

This class is all about building fundamentals - with an emphasis on fun - through engaging curriculum, creative movement, and skill-building activities. Rooted in our three guiding principles of technique, teamwork, and tradition, our team aims to boost dancers confidence through energetic and motivating instruction. Pre-Champ program dancers are up for a challenge and are ready to increase their knowledge of complex Irish dance steps, rhythm, footwork and fun new material!  Due to the fast-paced nature and progressive structure of the this program, dancers attend class twice per week. With ample practice time available for both shoes, dancers will learn challenging moves, rhythms and specifically slow-speed hard shoe choreography. ⭐️ PERFORMANCE ADD-ON: Pre-Champ Program dancers may add-on DISTRICT TROUPE, held right after this class on Tues / Thurs, in order to learn show choreography & performance skills, with special opportunities to perform throughout the year! MULTI-CLASS SAVINGS: Dancers in Pre-Champ are invited to upgrade to STUDIO PASS YOUTH - SILVER 🥈 - a membership that provides significant savings as opposed to registering classes “a la carte” - includes District Troupe and all Drop-In classes, as well as other exclusive perks. Prerequisite: 3+ years experience; competing in Novice / Prizewinner / recently-achieved Preliminary Championship Levels. Non-competitive students may enroll with instructor approval.

Open to Pre-Champ / Champ dancers, District Troupe is our advanced performance troupe class. District Troupe dancers will continue to refine their stage skills while learning fun and challenging show-style solo and group choreography in an encouraging, non-competitive setting. Throughout the year we will explore how show dancing incorporates arm movements as well as elements of storytelling and character portrayal through performance. Troupe dancers will also have the opportunity to participate in special video projects. Irish dance is thriving beyond the feis scene, gaining global attention - whether on tour with Beyoncé or through viral sensations like Cairde and The Gardiner Brothers. We’re excited to deliver that energy and innovation to the DIDA studio! Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in either Pre-Champ or Champ Program. Included with Silver / Gold Youth Studio Pass.
