IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REMOTE CLASSES
We are excited to announce a plan to keep our community dancing and learning together, from the safety and comfort of home! Starting Monday, March 16th we will present classes online via Zoom video conferencing. Details about what this format will look like are as follows:
Classes will be streamed at the studio by the DIDA instructor team and held on the same schedule as in-studio classes. Although there may be some space/floor limitations at home — now is a great time to buy a sheet of plywood! — our goal is to ensure that dancers will never have to miss a single class. And, of course, we expect everyone to keep practicing!
In order to participate in classes remotely, dancers will sign up for a free Zoom account at this link: https://zoom.us
For each class, we will send an e-mail with additional details about class format, the schedule, code to access the conference, and instructions for dancers to log on to the Zoom site. It is important that your ClassBug account e-mail is updated, as all information will be sent via ClassBug rosters.
Class length will be altered to be slightly shorter than normal, and we will supplement each class with additional training videos and resources with links which will be sent out prior to each class.
To complement dancers’ training, we also recommend advanced dancers check out Celticore Online Studio (Joe’s Pilates program for Irish dancers). You may sign up for Celticore and try out a free trial at this link: studio.celticore.com
In light of these circumstances, the District Irish Dance community remains strong and connected. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Stay well and keep dancing! Sláinte!
