SUMMER PROGRAM 2020
CLASS/TUITION CONTINUATION JUNE + JULY
As we continue to navigate turbulent times, we want to make sure our community continues to stay connected through dance. Normally, we would finish out the “academy year” at the end of May, and then switch over to a series of camps, intensives and other programs throughout the summer. After careful thought, we have decided to instead extend the academy year in its current structure. As such, the District Irish Dance 2020 summer program will consist of the exact same weekly schedule/program of classes, for an additional 8 weeks (4 weeks in June, 2 in July and 2 in August). The program schedule is as follows:
2020 SUMMER PROGRAM DATES:
May 25-30 - NO CLASSES - Memorial Day Holiday Break
June 1 - Summer Program commences - June Classes (4 weeks)
June 29-July 4 - NO CLASSES - 4th of July Holiday Break
July 6-18 - Summer Program - July Classes (2 weeks)
July 19-Aug 2 - NO CLASSES - Summer Break
August 3-15 - Summer Program - August Classes (2 weeks)
We want to try to give all of our classes during this time a “summer camp” feel, so we will be incorporating a series of fun games, activities and other school-wide challenges to keep up the “summer spirit” of things :)
For convenience, and rather than needing everyone to re-register for the summer program, we have extended the class schedule/auto-pay schedule on ClassBug, so that two additional regular monthly payments will be assessed on June 1st and July 1st (which will count for the 2 weeks in July and the 2 weeks in August). There will be no payment on August 1st.
By default, everyone is automatically registered for the Summer program, and no further action is needed via ClassBug. Just make sure to mark on your calendars the class weeks we have throughout July/August (all listed above).
We fully understand financial and or/scheduling challenges for everyone so we want to reiterate that participation in the Summer program is entirely optional and not part of our standard “academy year” registration policy obligation. As such, please just inform us in writing by May 15th if you/your dancer(s) DO NOT wish to participate in the DIDA summer program and we will discontinue registration/tuition for June & July. If we do not hear from you past May 15th, your account will be charged accordingly.
We are going to be flexible with make-ups should there be a planned family vacation, etc. However, per standard commitment policies, we are not able to offer reduced or pro-rated tuition. If you had signed up for a Summer program camp or intensive which we had previously listed, you will receive a tuition credit equal to that amount.
Thanks everyone and keep on dancin’!
